Art: What can I use to clean my paint brushes when using oil/acrylics?
If I cannot get to the shops, are there any cheaper alternative around the house?
For acrylics use dish soap, or hand soap and water. If you can't get any solvents or linseed oil for your oil paint clean up, try using vegetable oil, olive oil or some kind of cooking oil to get the paint out along with shampoo. That has worked for me and it is environmentally friendly and keeps the hands clean too and soft.
But please don't use this oil for painting, it doesn't work well at all.
