There is possibly no artist who ever pushed paint better than Ricrad Diebenkorn.
He used dry brush, wet-on-wet, impasto, scraping, and every other technique in every painting with fantastically beautiful effects. His Ocean Park series is a wonderful study in all the possible techniques an artists can use in painting.
