wet on wet paint style?
I'm new to painting. But have completed ten or so. This Bob Ross style applies a thin layer of liquid white. Any tips on how much is a thin layer? My very first painting was the best and it seemed to be more one the heavy side. Because the paint seemed to wet as I applied it. But like I said I am new to painting.Any input would be appreciated.
First of all, for the uninitiated, wet in wet is done with oils. As for the liquid white you need just enough on the canvas that when you touch it with your finger tip you should be able to see your finger print when you look at your finger. If the paint fills up your finger print you have too much on the canvas. Too much will cause you problems.
