Painting oils over acrylic?
I've started a painting in Golden acrylic, and was wondering if I can paint oils over top? (Grumbacher artist pre tested.)
I'm new to oils and didn't know if it would be a good idea to paint over top of acrylic paint.
Experienced artists, please. Has anyone successfully done this?

I used to use this technique all the time and it can work very well, it's a great way of doing underpainting and blocking in and you can make major compositional changes without worrying about drying times or the paint surface becoming unstable.
Make sure that the acrylic paint is thoroughly dry before applying the oil paint (and don't try painting acrylic over oils).
PS.
I certainly wouldn't recommend a layer of liquin over the acrylic.
A fast drying medium used in this way would increase the likelihood of subsequent oil layers cracking. Oil paint adheres very well to acrylics, if you want to seal the surface before you use oils then use a matte acrylic varnish (but it's better to leave the paint layers as simple as possible).
Yes we can get into detailed technicalities over methods and materials, opinions can differ on the practicalities of paint chemistry, but the principle is that; yes you can paint oils over acrylics and it works.
I have used the method, and paintings from 25 years ago are in perfect condition.
