I'm 21 and I still like to read Point Horror books. Is there anything wrong with this? Should I be ashamed?
Don't get me wrong - most of the time I read proper, actual literature. The last three books I read, for example, were "Song of Solomon" by Toni Morrison, "Letters From Iceland" by W H Auden and Louis MacNiece, and "Mrs Dalloway" by Virginia Woolf. I've even read James Joyce's "Ulysses". However, when I just want to relax and have a bit of fun, I read...Point Horror books. And stuff by Christopher Pike.
Is this as embarrassing as I think it is?
The great thing about reading is the freedom to read what is enjoyable and interesting to you. Even Moms enjoy reading kids books to their children and I have gained much from them over the years. I love going back and reading Phyllis Whitney mystery books that I read close to 40 years ago. Whatever you read is great, just keep reading. It keeps the mind/brain healthy and the imagination fresh.
