What is the best type of paint (Acrylic, Oil, Water colour, etc.)for landscape paintings?
I want to paint landscapes but i don't really know which one is the best type of paint to use, 'cause i use the one for kids, the washable ones. It's really hard to mix the colors. and when the paint brush is still wet it erases the ones that i already painted when i'm trying to add a second coat for darker or lighter color.
Acrylic is great for beginners. It blends great and dries fast. Definitely my choice, but it also depends on how advanced you are.
Oil paints tend to mix too much where you don't want them too or you have to use a thinner so unless you're experienced and know how to prevent mistakes, then i'd suggest using Acrylics.
Water color wasn't ever really my thing, i can't really tell you much about it but i know that for landscapes it's not ideal. The colors are light and would need multiple coats.
So acrylic would probably be your best bet.
