What are the chances that I'll suffer a stroke if my dad had one?
My dad had a stroke when he was 37. I have no idea what type of stroke it was, all I know was that one side of his body was somewhat paralysed. He need a crutch and his speech was funny. It didn't last for too long, maybe a couple of months, and soon made a complete recovery. It's been 20 years and he hasn't had one since. I was just wondering if my dad having stroke means that I have an increased chance if suffering one, too? I'm 28
Please note that my dad was a smoker at the tome and his diet wasn't that great although he was slim.
There are so many ways to be used to prevent a stroke. Lifestyle, medications, etc. You are young enough to work on it successfully...
