Paintbrush Set Art
Contained creativity, a lighthearted read (as you never get those from me) can you c/c please?
This is one i've been thinking of doing for a while now, just remembering how in art lessons you were very restricted as to what you could paint, you couldn't make it your own.
Set under rules, complimentary colours
sweeping brush strokes in fusion with another.
Red flows to purple then swirling into blue,
but my imprint, my touch is out of clear view.
Controlled, it may be fetching but not my own,
only my knowledge of the paints has been shown.
But if I relinquish these restricting rules,
I'll be open to utilise my own tools.
Ignoring the colours that didn't "blend well"
I break open the bars and escape my cell.
The canvas is my oyster, only for me,
though my close-minded art teacher disagrees.
I knew I had finished when the paintbrush ceased,
it's not beautiful, but it's my masterpiece.

Nice Analogy to one's life I suppose, the world is your canvas and you have to manipulate it so you can live it your way, obviously you will always get those who disapprove but they want everybody to be mindless clones and their way you will never get progress, paint, write, and live by your own rules and you will not go far wrong
