Tips and tools to make sponge bathing easy for both of us.
I would like instructions on how to begin, what I will need, and how to set things up. I have not given a sponge bath and I am nervous, not about giving the bath, but about having no experience doing so. So if someone could tell me how to do it, that would be awesome. Of course I know, it's pretty much common sense, but people with previous experience could really help me out. Thanks!!!!!!
Make sure the water is very warm and try to only expose the area that you are bathing. Bath and dry that area before moving on the the next. Elderly persons are always cold!! It's important to try and keep them as warm as possible. And remember patient privacy, make sure the curtains are fully drawn. You can ask them if they'd like to wash their own genital area, if they are able to do so as well.
