I want to stencil on walls?

what kind of paint should I buy?
the paint on the wall is a little bit shiny, the paint might not stick and it might run.
any paints that are more like creme?
I went to Micheals. they have paint one week and next week they don't have any.
are there another craft store in san diego

I live in calif, we don't have hubby lobby store.

Just buy small cans of wall paint, the kind available at home imrovement stores and paint sections of Sears, Kmart, Walmart and such. These won't have any trouble sticking to the semi gloss that is probably already on your walls. Just make sure your walls are clean and dry before you start.

You can get stencil material at most craft and hobby shops, including Michaels. You can, I'm sure, find dozens more in the San Diego area by looking in your local phone book or Art suplies, craft supplies, hobby supplies, home decorating supplies, etc.

I used to use plain manilla folders to cut custom stencils for airbrushing. The material was durable and could last for several applications.
